Revelation 14:6-12 contains the most important message for our time - the Three Angels' Messages. This is God's final warning to the world before Jesus returns. FIRST ANGEL (Revelation 14:6-7): "Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water." This angel proclaims the everlasting gospel and announces that the judgment hour has come. This points to 1844 and the beginning of the investigative judgment in heaven. The call to worship the Creator is a call back to Sabbath observance (Exodus 20:11). SECOND ANGEL (Revelation 14:8): "Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication." Babylon represents confused, apostate Christianity - a union of church and state that has departed from Biblical truth. The fall of Babylon is both historical (the Protestant Reformation) and future (the final rejection of truth). The call is to come out of Babylon and return to pure Biblical Christianity. THIRD ANGEL (Revelation 14:9-11): "If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God..." This is the most solemn warning in all of Scripture. It warns against receiving the mark of the beast - which is Sunday worship enforced by law. Those who knowingly reject God's Sabbath and accept a counterfeit will face God's wrath. THE REMNANT (Revelation 14:12): "Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus." God's end-time people will keep ALL of God's commandments, including the fourth (the Sabbath), and will have the faith OF Jesus (not just faith IN Jesus). These messages are not popular, but they are true. They call us to worship the Creator, come out of Babylon, and refuse the mark of the beast.
